Slow cooked Brisket with Barbeque Sauce

Preparation Time: 10 min / Cooking Time: 8-10 hours / Servings: 4-6 

Ingredients:
3-4lb beef brisket
1½ tsp salt
1½ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chili powder
1 tsp Liquid Smoke

  • Combine all the ingredients and rub into the Brisket well.
  • Place the brisket in a 6 qt. crock pot with ½ cup water.
  • Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  • Serve with barbeque sauce.

 

Barbeque Sauce:
6 tablespoons butter
14 oz ketchup
½ cup water
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
2 tablespoons Liquid Smoke
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Rodelle Vanilla Extract
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons celery seed
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • Prepare the sauce by combining all of the ingredients over medium heat. Cook until boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 10-20 minutes. Remove from heat.
Serve over brisket as a main dish or on onion rolls as a sandwich.
